CCHP Commercial Members: Mental Health coverage is managed by Contra Costa Health Plan.
(County employees with Plans A&B, IHSS, for example)
Referrals in EPIC:
1) Outgoing
2) Specific type of treatment, Psychotherapy or Psychiatry.
2) Referrals to psychiatry require a PCP referral with clinical information substantiating the referral to a specialist. CCHP will review the information for medical necessity.
3) Referrals to psychotherapy may be made by the member or the PCP. CCHP reviews the request for medical necessity.
4) The telephone number to CCHP Mental Health Auth/UM is 925-313-6683
CCHP Medi-Cal Members: Mental Health coverage is managed by Contra Costa County Access Line.

Seems that it taking time for in-basket message to appear in EPIC however wanted you to know that the member has referrals to make an appt. with a psychiatrist.
